Health & Safety
Health and safety is as essential a part of our business as bricks and mortar are. Our certification under the CHAS scheme is recognition of our commitment but of equal importance is our own determination to ensure the complete safety of or workforce and all the other individuals who work with us.

All of our site supervisors undergo specific Health ans Safety training to ensure that they fully understand and meet the necessary standards at all times.
We make it a positive benefit. We believe that ensuring high standards, enhancing the skill levels of our entire workforce, and emphasizing courtesy and consideration, lead to smooth-running efficiency, productivity, delivery and repeat purchase.
The result: No failures and no major or over three day injuries over the past five years.
As a company we are committed to all our workforce and management becoming holders of a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card. We believe strongly in applying the Considerate Construction Scheme to everyone who may be affected by our work.
Health and safety. At Winchmore Brickwork it’s part of the way we work.
We work closely with Construction skills (www.cskills.org) and Train2Gain (www.traintogain.gov.uk) to maximize the training opportunities available to us.
We are proud to say that our workforce is 100% CSCS Compliant with 80% holding the appropriate CSCS card. This is reflected in the issue of our very own CSCS gold certificate that recognizes just how compliant our workforce is.
Realising the importance of Health and Safety in all aspects of the business world, but especially construction, we have trained and appointed our own, in house, Nebosh qualified Health and Safety Adviser. Our Health and Safety Advisor has successfully completed the Nebosh General Certificate and the Nebosh Construction Certificate so is more than qualified to advise on all aspects of our work.
Winchmore are mindful of all the duties placed on them by the new CDM Regs 2007 and all other relevant legislation applied to their scope of works. To this the company always work towards ensuring that all of its operatives are carrying out their works in a safe and competent manner.
